Etudes from Solovki

This collection of essays includes selected articles, sketches, travel notes, stories, and poems by the author about the Solovetsky Islands. Some of them were published in the first half of the 2000s in the almanac The Silence of Solovki, which was published by a creative association of students from the Faculty of International Journalism at MGIMO of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Others were written much later as memoirs and reflections on the author's many years of active participation in humanitarian expeditions to the Solovetsky Islands.

The book is intended for anyone interested in the history of the Solovetsky Islands who wants to better understand the problems and worldview of the inhabitants of this remote White Sea region.
